| Description of terms |
| Ready to use:
|
No further processing is required. |
| Single stranded:
|
The RNA is provided with the sense and antisense strands in
separate tubes. |
| 2’-ACE stabilized:
|
The RNA is protected at the 2’ position with an acid-labile
orthoester group (2’-ACE). |
| Duplex-Ready:
|
The 2’-ACE protected complementary strands are combined in one
tube in equimolar amounts. |
| 2’-Deprotected:
|
The 2’-ACE protecting group has been hydrolyzed to its native
hydroxyl (2’-OH) form. |
| Duplexed:
|
The two complementary siRNA strands have been annealed to form a
duplex. |
| Desalted:
|
The siRNA duplex has been desalted by either ethanol precipitation
(Option A4 and B) or reverse phase chromatography (Option C). |
| Purified:
|
The siRNA duplex has been PAGE purified and desalted by reverse
phase chromatography. |
| in vivo:
|
The siRNA duplex included the following processing steps: counter
ion (Na+) exchange, dialysis, sterile filtration and endotoxin testing. |
| in vivo HPLC:
|
The siRNA duplex included the following processing steps: ion
exchange HPLC purification, counter ion (Na+) exchange, dialysis, sterile
filtration and endotoxin testing. |

siRNA Option A1:
1. The oligos are shipped in the 2'-ACE protected single-stranded form.
2. The oligos need to be 2'-deprotected and desalted using the provided protocol, and/or purified by the end user.
3. The dried oligonucleotides are provided in the absence of universal buffer salts.
4. The expected ship date is 4 business days for orders received before 3:00pm MST.
