Most microRNA functional studies require the co-transfection of microRNA mimetics and/or inhibitors along with at least one reporter plasmid. Dharmacon (now part of Thermo Scientific) has verified the effective transfection of the miRIDIAN microRNA Mimics and Inhibitors in conjunction with a reporter plasmid in vitro.

DharmaFECT Duo transfection reagent is specially formulated to provide:

• Efficient delivery of two distinct molecules in a single transfection event
• High delivery effiency of both microRNA Mimic or Inhibitor with plasmid without compromising cell viability

The miRIDIAN Mimics and Inhibitors are designed for:

• Assessing gain- or loss-of-function effects to understand miRNA function
• Specific and reproducible microRNA effects
• Individual microRNA functional analysis or high-throughput screening applications
